Russian Woman Pleads for Support from the U.S.

A courageous Russian woman living in Ukraine shared her harrowing story with us. Forced to leave her brother behind to fight in the war, she joined countless women and children fleeing to safety, while the men stayed behind to defend their homes and communities. The pride these families held for their country was almost tangible, their resilience and sacrifice a testament to their unwavering spirit. They wanted their voices heard, their stories carried across oceans to America, in the hope that the U.S. government might offer greater support. Even now, the desperation in their voices echoes in my heart, a reminder of their struggle and strength.

Although the war between Russia and Ukraine is ongoing, we don’t hear about it as much as we did three years ago as other wars have overshadowed the conflict.
